Keyworker - print
A3 giclee print
Andrew says:
“Inspired by the works of Banksy, my drawing shows a ‘keyworker’ (a cleaner) painted on a familiar wall in Bristol. She is sweeping away discarded facemasks during covid lockdown – using a real brush!
I turned it into a crime scene to highlight the continuous work of the police throughout the pandemic with the extra problems they faced. I also wanted to ‘tickle’ the conscience of those who choose to dump their used facemasks in the street to encourage them to take their rubbish home with them.
My drawing has a simple message - covid has affected everyone, so I hope we stop littering our streets with covid reminders and once in a while take a moment to remember those who so selflessly work hard to keep us all safe during covid and beyond.”
